ROLE OF COUNCIL MEMBERS THE
CHURCH RELATIONS COUNCIL
WARREN WILSON COLLEGE

The Mission of the Church Relations Council is to establish, enhance and sustain cordial and mutually supportive relationships between Presbyterian Churches (U.S.A.) and Warren Wilson College. In fulfilling this mission, Church Relations Council members are asked to:

• Become informed about the College: its mission statement and history; its programs and current needs; and its goals and opportunities for the future
• Remember Warren Wilson College, its people and program in their prayers
• Participate in the college's program of Annual Giving
• Become an advocate for Warren Wilson College in their own and other churches in their community, in civic and community organizations and in their own circle of friends
• Maintain connection with Warren Wilson College through the Office of Church Relations, (828) 771-2038
• Recommend that young people making their college choice consider Warren Wilson College and offer literature about the College. Provide names to Warren Wilson College Office of Admission along with parents' addressand telephone number.
• Arrange for church youth groups to visit the campus.
• Encourage financial support of Warren Wilson College: churchmission budgets, individuals and foundations. (The College particularly needs contributions to "unrestricted funds" and "scholarship assistance.")
• Arrange for a student or college official to speak in their area: to their church, to other churches, to civic clubs.
• Increase awareness of Warren Wilson College in other ways, such as: distributing literature about the college; showing the college video; and including information in church bulletins and newsletters.
• Suggest the names of others who might become friends and supporters of the college. Have their names placed on the college mailing list.
• Suggest to the college names of potential members of the Church Relations Council and of the college's Board of Visitors.
